this is a serious question, so im looking for serious answers only please...i am a 21 year old white female. since i can remember (or puberty?), ive always had excessive perspiration in the armpits (hyperhidrosis). i have come across an amazing product called CertainDri that combats the excessive wetness. although i shower daily, use this product, and have used every great deodorant/antiperspirant available, i still tend to sweat (even if im not hot). when i sweat, i still get b.o., even though ive showered, used certaindri, and deodorant. help! any suggestions or tips? im desperate!!
B.o., hyperhidrosis, help?
There is a shot they can give you that will basically shut down your sweat glads. They started using it people with clammy palms. Ask your doctor if he doesn't help go somewhere else It is available and insurance does cover it.
Reply:you can get botox injections in your armpits... seriously.. talk to you doctor.
Reply:It is a serious problem...and I would consult a doctor who can help give you a better quality of life. Call around locally. Best of luck.
Reply:maybe you should try bathing with cold water instead of warm water.that way, your overall body temperature will be cooler.after bathing, try slapping some powder on ur underarms.of course do it whern they're dry.maybe you should try to avoid wearing thick materals for ur tops too.
Reply:I know what it feels like. I put on baby powder after i put on deodorant and that usually helps. If you dont want the scent, buy the unscented. It works for me perhaps it will work for you.
Reply:I use Mitchum
on the label it says, " so effective you could even skip a day"
it works for me.
Have you tried baking soda?
How about using Summer's Eve on your underarms to wash them? They make those packets with a wipe it. you could put them in your purse with a trial size of deodorant. Wipe down every couple of hours and reapply deodorant. I know that could be a hassle but it may help if you get into the habit.
Aloe Vera is also good for so many things, get a plant and use the larger leaves, maybe put some gel in yourarmpits at night for a few days. see what happens.
