I have just been offered free botox for my hyperhidrosis via the NHS on a pilot scheme for my area, however I know it is already accepted in many PCT areas, free of charge. Has anyone had it? what are the processes? Just one consultation? Any one have problems getting it?
Botox + hyperhidrosis?
I've never had it but heard good results.
It's a great alternative to ETS surgery.
Hopefully with a little anesthetic you'll feel no pain from the botox injections.
Reply:I had hyperhidrosis but it was actually a food intolerance! Excessive sweating can be a means for your body to cleanse toxins that would otherwise damage your organs. Do you by chance have any chronic skin conditions like psoriasis, hives, or some kind of persistent rash? This could indicate a IgA mediated immune reaction.
Reply:For me, Hydroderm is not a complete substitute for Botox. Hydroderm does however work well for me in many
places, and is certainly a lot cheaper. It's also a lot safer in my opinion. I found some good basic info
at this site that got me started:

Good luck.
